Nottingham Hoods Strengthen Frontcourt with Signing of Forward Jani Griffith

The Nottingham Hoods are delighted to announce the signing of British forward Jani Griffith, adding significant height, strength, and experience to the roster.

Standing at 6’9”, Griffith brings much-needed presence in the forward position, an area the Hoods have recently been looking to bolster. At 29 years old, he also offers valuable maturity and leadership to what is otherwise a young and developing squad.

This signing marks Griffith’s return to British basketball after more than a decade abroad. He launched his career in the United States, competing at Sheridan College, Lakeland College, and Bethel University before moving into the European professional circuit. His overseas journey includes successful spells in Ireland with Killorglin, France with Castelanau Basket, and most recently Greece with Karditsa Basketball.

Head Coach and club staff are confident Griffith’s versatility, international experience, and strong physical presence will make an immediate impact on both ends of the floor.

“Jani’s return to the UK game is a major boost for us,” Vladan Dragosavac said. “We’ve been searching for added height and depth at the forward spot, and he brings exactly that, along with a wealth of experience.”

The Nottingham Hoods welcome Jani Griffith back to British basketball as he makes his debut this weekend away at Essex. Hoods fans can look forward watching him in action on the 28th of December as we host Worthing Thunder at Harvey Hadden.
