The Nottingham Hoods Men’s 2s followed up last week’s strong showing with another dominant performance, defeating Derby Trailblazers 2 by a convincing 104–78. Despite travelling with only ten players, the Hoods delivered a complete team display, with five players hitting double digits in scoring.
The game opened evenly, with both sides trading baskets throughout the first quarter to finish level at 22–22. But from the start of the second, the Hoods tightened their grip. High-pressure defence and disciplined execution held Derby to just 11 points, while the Hoods poured in 24 of their own, building a 46–33 advantage heading into halftime.
With momentum firmly on their side, the Hoods pushed the pace in the third quarter, extending their lead and playing with growing freedom and confidence. Derby’s frustration became clear as the Hoods’ intensity continued to rise, and the hoods took a 74–58 lead into the final period.
The fourth quarter saw the Hoods finish the job in style, maintaining their tempo at both ends of the floor and closing out a statement win at 104–78.
